Become a Chancy & Bruce Developmental Kindergarten

How DO I Know if Chancy and Bruce's DK program is right for my school or child?

Our DK program is designed to give kindergarten-aged students an extra year, known as “the gift of time,” to develop socially and build an academic foundation through our specialized pathway curriculum. It offers a child-centered approach that emphasizes social-emotional development and project-based learning and exploration to strengthen the roots to learn and grow.

By giving children “the gift of time”, DK allows them to better prepare for educational success. DK bridges the gap between early childhood and formal education through a stimulating environment, setting the foundation for future learning.

Curriculum And Activities

Chancy and Bruce's DK curriculum is a specialized program focusing daily on social-emotional maturity, academic awareness, and developmentally age-appropriate pathway exposure for 37 weeks.  The materials and books used are user friendly for new and tenured teachers following clear and concise lesson plans.

Weekly and daily overviews in the manual help keep the consistency of the pathway methodology but also allow for teacher creativity and differentiation.  The curriculum and activities are tailored to meet the unique needs of young learners, ensuring the stability to build the necessary foundation to learn and retain without difficulty.

The pathway-focused curriculum is an adjusted program that provides 4-5-year-old students with a flexible and hands-on learning environment.

Pathways

The pathways are brought to life through a blend of structured and intentional activities. The curriculum encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking, laying a strong foundation for future academic success. By providing young learners with tailored activities and programs, our DK fosters the development of essential skills while creating a supportive community for young learners.

Our program supports a nurturing environment that bridges the gap between early learning experiences and the foundational skills required for academic success.
